Our Technology Flagship: Proprietary HiFi Optics® Molding

As an advanced isothermal molding process developed entirely by Wielandts UPMT, HiFi Optics® brings complex lenses to their final shape with outstanding accuracy. While conventional molding systems introduce high-shear forces that cause devastating thermal drift, weld lines, and internal stress, our controlled thermodynamic cycle renders alternative replication approaches obsolete for stress-free, high-fidelity geometries.

  • Ultra-Low Birefringence: We consistently achieve residual retardation values down to 10nm/cm, preserving polarization across clear apertures.
  • Extreme Aspect Ratios & Thin Substrates: Safely fill complex mold cavities to achieve aspect ratios > 5 and an unprecedented minimum thickness <200µm without premature freezing or short-shots.
  • Steep Surface Slopes: Replicate complex profiles with surface slopes up to 75°.
